Here’s a look back at 2024

I know I have mentioned this before, but I finished 2024 with my highest number of books read ever. My previous record was 134. I made a shift in focus towards the end of the year to clear through as many ARCs as possible, but didn’t read a ton of ARCs to start the year, so the overall number is a little low.

It’s no surprise that the majority of my reads are 4 stars. After all this time, I know what I like, and even when choosing books outside my usual genres, I pick ones that hit on the overall themes that resonate with me. I rarely rate anything below 3 stars, because if I don’t like it, I’m not going to finish it.

Format

I did not track format this year, so this may not be completely accurate. There is zero surprise that the majority of my books were audio this year since I am having such an issue with eye strain and sight reading takes me forever right now. I expect this to continue in 2025 as well.

This is another category that I did not keep track of, and I may have placed a few books in the adult category that are typically considered young adult (I generally look at the age of the MC), but this is a pretty typical break down for me, I generally read about 50/50 between adult and YA.
