In just a few short weeks, I’ll be turning 54. While my family has never been big into birthdays, I have always made a big deal out of my birthday. I usually take the day off work, sometimes take a little trip, or do something special. With the current state of my life, my last two birthdays have not been great.

I’ve been trying to come up with something fun to do for my birthday this year. But it would have to fit around everyone’s work schedules, since I’m the family chauffer and my birthday is midweek. I had thought about going to Wildlife Safari and going through the free walk-thru, but that might conflict with my sister-in-law’s work schedule. Anything I do would have to be free though.

I used to buy myself a gift for every year, just little things, and wrap them up. Then I would open them all throughout the day and enjoy my favorite meals and go somewhere that makes me happy. Maybe I’ll use some of the grocery funds to get a coconut cake for myself, I think they are only $5, that would be a nice treat. And maybe I could make burgers for dinner. That should work.

While I appreciate that a lot of people are boycotting Amazon, I do have a list of items that I need and don’t know of anywhere else I can set up a list with a confidential shipping address. I have zero expectations, but if anyone would like to send something from the list, it would be very much appreciated!.
