Readathon Snacks
A short while ago, I shared my preparation for the different readathons I usually participate in, especially 24 hour readathons. Well, Dewey’s 24 hour April Readathon is happening on Saturday and I just finished getting my snack ready (aside from the fruits and veg I’ll be buying Friday).
As always, I try to do a mix of healthy and less healthy snacks. I picked up all of my non-perishable snacks on my regular shopping trip, but will make a special trip on Friday for the items I need fresh.
Here is the snacking plan for the event:
Pretzels
Oranges
Beef Jerky
Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn
Swedish Fish
Carrots w/ Dip
Apples w/ Cheese
Salad (lunch)
Pizza (dinner)
Ice Cream
Berries
Almonds
Cracked Pepper Triscuits
Cool Ranch Doritos
Drinks-wise I have soda for caffeine, water, and can make tea as well if needed.
I will not eat all of these, but I like to have options, because I never know what I’ll be craving. And I usually alternate between the healthier snacks and the not-so-healthy.
