February 2025 Wrap Up
Life
Oh February, you have been a wild month. The US is being destroyed and I am just supposed to function as though everything is normal. My mom is freaking out about the possible loss of her Medicare. She has a state pension, so doesn’t even see her SS right now (it pays for her Medicare and that’s it). But she is diabetic and dependent on insulin, plus has a pacemaker and a replacement heart valve, and is a cancer survivor with osteoporosis, and is partially blind in one eye, so she needs her Medicare. And my brother still supports Trump.
Other than that, I’m still on track for my reading goals, though I seem to keep falling behind at the beginning of the month and then binge reading at the end of the month. And I feel like I’m getting through a lot of books I own and a lot of ARCs, but I don’t necessarily feel like I’m making a huge dent in my TBR. Hopefully I’ll start seeing some bigger changes to the numbers soon.

The felon in chief is driving me crazy! And so we are making plans to leave the U.S. I’m 61 and getting my healthcare through the ACA. If it goes, I’m screwed. I’m sorry your mom is so scared. I’m hoping the threats to Medicare and Social Security are just that. Threats. Kind of like the tariffs on Canada and Mexico have been so far.
It looks like you’ve had a great reading month!
