Always Updating
Every 6 months or so, I feel the need to reorganize my bookshelves. Since I recently expanded my 100 books project to a 3rd and 4th level, I decided now was a great time for another update. Previously my books were separated by target age group (1 set adult, the other YA & children), now they are mixed.
Since I am really focusing on the 100 book project (in addition to reviews), it made sense for me to arrange my physical shelves with that in mind. I’ve grouped all of the books for each tier together and pulled them all to the forward facing positions on my shelves (I have so many books, my shelves are doubled with a hidden row and a forward facing row).
I now have a shelf dedicated to my active physical TBR, 2 shelves for series remaining in my first 100 books (this includes 2 series of over 20+ books- 1 series is over 60 now), 1 shelf for the 200 series books (shorter series), 2 shelves for all of the 300 books and 2 shelves for the 400 books.
My physical TBR is made up of 100 series books and 200 stand-alones at this time. Most of the remaining books on my 100 list are either part of a series or Kindle, hence why so many of the 200 books are in the current TBR.
I got super fancy this time and labeled my shelves. I appeals to the little organizational part of my heart.
