Best of 2022~ On the Workfront

I wanted to look back over this year and highlight some of the bright spots and successes. I didn’t want the post to be too long, so I decided to break things up by category. Today I’m looking back on some of my successful moments in my work life, and there were actually quite a few to choose from!

In February, I was asked to become a trainer for one of our more intense training classes and started the training path in March. The certification process to become a trainer can take up to 6 months and the training itself takes 2 days each time the class is taught. I received a lot of compliments from the various other trainers I worked with to complete my certification and was fully certified in just 3 months. I have been conducting the training at least once per month since July.

I received a significant raise, and a lot of compliments, when my annual review came around in July.

Also in July, my site was featured prominently in our annual awards luncheon video, highlighting some of the activities that our team have been doing with the people we serve. I also won a raffle with a Yeti cooler, Roomba vacuum, and assorted other household items.

Oh yeah, and I won the highest honor we present, the Mission Award, for my work in transforming our region and building the team I work with. I joke about it here, but it is truly a great honor to have won this award.

In September, I was told by my boss’s boss, that we “won” DSP Appreciation week, with the big event we through for our team.

My team was also featured very prominently in the company-wide newsletter video that came out mid-November. (My company operates in 6 states across the US).

Considering I moved into my position with a lot of imposter syndrome and doubt about my abilities, I have been blown away by the amount of recognition I have received. Now I’m wondering how I’m going to match this in 2023! But I have some plans in mind.
