Bloglovin’
The time has come for me to break up with Bloglovin’. I tried for a long time to make it work, even after posts from my old blog stopped appearing on there (for no known reason, and support never responded). I gave them another shot, because all of the blogs I followed were there, but the past 6 weeks have shown me that it’s time to say goodbye for good.
First, I kept getting a message that their servers were over capacity… for almost 2 weeks. After clearing my cache and cookies a few times, everything was back. I could get to the huge list of blogs that I was following and read most of their posts again. And, because I had decided to focus my Twitter on shared blog posts from bloggers I enjoy and admire, I worked to get all of my followed blogs sorted into categories to make sharing easier.
And then, boom, literally immediately following the sorting of the last blog, I lost the site again. Now I receive a message that states “Sorry this page isn’t available” and telling me that the page I am looking for is either broken or been removed. Every page. My profile, my feed, search pages, the homepage. And “help” just cycles me back to their list of articles without allowing me to contact anyone or submit a ticket. And reaching out to through social media yielded no response.
I’ve deleted cache and cookies, I’ve rebooted my system, I’ve logged out and logged back in, I’ve tried different computers and different browsers. Nothing has worked. So now I’m going to try a new blog reader. Any suggestions?
