Planning 2023~ Reading

This is my last major planning post for 2023, though I do still have a few things to do to prepare for 2023 over the next week. But anyway, today I’m going to share my reading plan and then a little later this week I will share my TBR creation.

I will be focusing on two main things in my reading for 2023, my 100 books list and old reviews.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I am trying to get my Net Galley ratio up to the recommended 80%. I have a long way to go to get to that high. This year I am aiming for 57%, which is about 48 books, or 4 review books per month.

In addition to review books, I also have my 100 books/series list that I am working on. I would like to read at least 24 books from this list this year, or 2 books per month.

Also part of my reading plans is to finish at 12 of the series that are currently in progress (several only have 1 book left to complete), this breaks down to 1-3 books per month.

Then there are the books that I am reading for work… I would like to read 1-2 per month.

And I would also like to complete a re-read each month.

All of this is pretty ambitious. I mean, I set my Goodreads goal at 75 books this year, but if I read everything I am planning/hoping to read, I will come in at around 144 books. This is certainly do-able for me, but I am not holding myself too firmly to this number. The good news is that some of my review books ( and most of my series books) are also on my 100 book list, so there is some overlap between categories, which could reduce the overall number of books read.
