Retirement was always this thing that loomed in the very distant future, something that wouldn’t be here until I was old and ready. And then I realized it’s less than 15 years away for me! 13 1/2 to be exact, if I retire at 65. That is mind boggling. It’s going to be here before I know it.

Once upon a time, I thought that I would spend my retirement traveling, but that idea has changed over the last several years. Now I fully intend to spend my retirement curled up in a comfortable chair, reading all of the books. Books upon books upon books. So really all of my book shopping now is preparing myself for retirement.

The truth is, even if I won the lottery and retired early, I would still spend my retirement reading. It’s how I spend every vacation and chunks of my days off. Reading and napping are my favorite things to do.
