With lots of fun banter and quippy dialogue, Ghosting: A Love Story is for readers looking for the wit and heart of Mhairi McFarlane and Sophie Kinsella with the romance of You've Got Mail plus a savvy digital take on modern love a la Alisha Rai.   “A sweet, genuinely funny, banter-filled delight of a rom-com.” —Kerry Winfrey, author of Waiting for Tom Hanks Online Dating Ghostwriting Rules to Live by:   ·  Do not present a “perfect” image. This was a super cute story and I really enjoyed it.

I could relate to Zoey’s fear of getting outside her New York neighborhood. It takes me a long time to feel comfortable in a new place too. Honestly, I found myself identifying with Zoey a lot, especially in the beginning as she tried to figure out who she wanted to be in the world. And I loved the growth journey she took.

Miles, on the other hand, felt angry at the beginning. I mean he definitely had reason to be hurt and angry, but I feel like that really held him back and kept him stuck in place for a while.

The banter and bickering between Miles and Zoey was fun, especially as the reader knows that they are secretly falling for each other (and they don’t even know it).

There were some really fun scenes, especially those with Mary (or situations arranged by Mary).

I was unhappy with both Miles and Zoey over the third act issue. One needed to communicate, but the other gave up way too soon and went a little too far with it. But I did love the ending.

The only thing I really didn’t enjoy about the book is the emails from their respective bosses at the start of most chapters, especially the ones from Zoey’s boss. They were kind of cringey.

But overall I loved the story and look forward to reading more by this author.
