Review~ Snowed in With Summer

Getting dumped right before you head off on vacation is not ideal, nor is finding out that your first love is on the trip with you. But all of this adds up to a fun read in the wilds of Canada.
Avery is a planner who keeps her urge to travel in check with her urge to have a settled life. I think sometimes she’s a little to rigid in her expectations, but I get where she’s coming from.
Summer, on the other hand, has sacrificed the idea of a home and relationship to her desire to travel the world on her own. She is adventurous and dynamic, but I also think she is scared and a bit lonely.
As an outsider, it seemed to me that the solution to their issues was obvious, but they were both very determined to stick to their own personal views and not willing to compromise.
I loved the aspect of watching Avery and Summer rediscover each other in the arctic wilderness. The addition of some fun and quirky side characters and a host of sled dogs was a bonus. I loved the friendship that developed between them and the other two couples.
I think the ending got things perfectly right and I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.
