Review~ The Notorious Virtues

Oh, this book! And now I have to wait for the second book in the series? I can’t!!
I adored both Lottie and Nora, and Theo and August as well. I feel like we were all left hanging, the only person we really know anything about at the end is August. And I just need to know what comes next for these four, and for Walstadt.
Nora is totally bad ass, she has this public persona that is all cool, aloof, bad girl-esque. But inside she is a really good person and her magic is quite powerful. She loves her family and wants the best for her city. And even though she now has to compete for the inheritance she thought was hers, her main goal is to find out who really murdered her mother.
Lottie grew up believing she was nothing and had no real sense of her self-worth. She felt unloved and like she belonged nowhere. Even when her true identity is revealed, she still feels like an outsider and a screw up. But she slowly finds herself and where she belongs, and has truly started to recognize her own power.
Once Nora and Lottie join forces and really get to know each other, they are unstoppable. Especially when Theo and August are thrown into the mix as well.
I have so many questions that need answers! Who is really Lottie’s father? Where are Lottie and Nora (and Modesty, for that matter)? What happened to Theo? And now I have to wait until 2027 for answers! (This is why I usually wait until a series is finished to start it).
