State of the Resistance

State of the Resistance~ March

It’s time to look again at what I’m doing to RESIST what’s happening here in the US.

Continuing forms of resistance:

Blog- Uplifting Voices, Recommended Reading & State of the Resistance Posts (plus some discussions)
Reading- emphasis on banned and diverse books, utilizing my libraries
Social Media- Reposting information and posting my own resistance posts
Emailing Reps (I don’t have a phone so can’t call)
Boycotting- Walmart, Target, Coca Cola, Pepsico (including FritoLay), McDonalds, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Nestle Brands, Amazon, Hershey’s, Hobby Lobby, Chik-fil-a, Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins, most General Mills brands, Starbucks, Dominoes

New forms of resistance:

Boycotting- Unilever brands (minus Ben & Jerry’s)

I wish that I could be doing more, but the lack of money and the lack of transportation make it really difficult to get to protests or support organizations. But the boycotting is not always easy, I’ve had to change brands of yogurt, ice creams, peanut butter, frozen chicken, and all kinds of other things. But if it sends the message and gets the point across, that’s what matters.

Things are getting worse, and I’m scared. But the only thing to do right now is resist.
