Step Challenge
My work is currently doing a step challenge. I’ve joined, but I am not doing all that well. As of this writing, I am currently ranked 200 out of about 250-ish people. (I’m hoping I will be higher in the rankings before this post actually goes live). The challenge started while I was away at training, so I couldn’t really do a lot of walking. I mean I couldn’t just get up and leave the classroom each hour for some laps. I did pace my hotel room every night to get more steps in, but struggle to get anywhere near 5000, let alone 10,000 each day.
The entire challenge is running for 6 weeks, and prizes are being awarded in random drawings each week, which is fun. And the 2 people with them most steps at the end wing a pretty big prize.
My strategy for the rest of the challenge is to continue doing laps around the office, my house, etc. every hour to try to increase my daily steps. I know I won’t come anywhere close to winning. But for my own personal benefit it would be nice to do better.
