Stepping Away
After much introspection, I have decided to step away from the blog. I have been blogging almost 15 years in one form or another, so this is not a decision I came to lightly. But between my vision issues, mental health, and my mom’s prognosis, I think it’s time for a break. Plus I’m pretty sure that absolutely no one even reads this, and all of the time I spend putting together posts seems like a waste. (If I’m wrong and there actually is someone reading this, please let me know).
I’ve made commitments for some blog tours with HTP Blog Tours, so I will still be posting them, as well as any reviews I complete between now and when my site comes up for renewal in March. After that time, I will post any outstanding reviews to Net Galley directly.
I am also considering leaving social media entirely, though I may only leave TikTok and Meta platforms and keep BlueSky. I have not made a firm decision on this yet. I want to remain informed and connected, but the mental health drain is real and I’m worried about what this means for my stability.
I may decide, after taking some time away, that I want to return to blogging and sharing my reading journey with others again. On the other hand, I may close the blog permanently in March
If there are any blog readers out there, thank you!
I read you! I don’t always have anything to say in reply, but you are in my Feedly so I see all your posts. I wish you and your mom all the best and I’m sorry you’re both going through sh*t.
Thank you! Both for reading and your kind wishes.
