In My Life:

I mentioned last week that I had just gotten my second shot for the COVID vaccine and I wasn’t feeling great, but not horrible either. That was pretty much how last weekend went. I slept a lot. And got an injection site rash again, but it’s gone now.

I only worked 2 days before going on vacation. I was hoping to hire a new AA, but that did not come to pass and I will be starting my second round of interviews for the position when I get back to work this week.

My boss and another of the ADs that I work with came down to take me to lunch on Tuesday for my birthday. I felt really good to feel so appreciated that my boss would drive 4 hours round-trip just to take me to lunch. And I got a lot texts and social media messages from friends on Thursday (my actual birthday).

My vacation was pretty uneventful, but it was nice to take some time off work for a few days to recharge the batteries. But I will have a lot to do next week to catch back up!

On the Blog:

I didn’t realize until after the fact, but Hello 50 was my 100th post! I had a lot of fun writing that one and reminiscing about my childhood and all of the technology that didn’t exist at that time. I also got really sentimental writing Saying Goodbye to the 40’s. The 40’s were an amazing, transformational decade for me.

My plan had been to spend a lot of time reading on my vacation, but it didn’t turn out that way. I relaxed, napped, watched some shows, ran some errands, but didn’t do a whole lot of reading until the weekend, like normal. I have no idea what this reading block is lately, but I really want to get back to reading every day again!
