Time Out

I think everyone needs a time out every once in a while, a time to site and regroup and not feel pressured to accomplish anything until you are ready to face life again. Most of the time, these time outs are brief, maybe an hour or two, maybe a day. Other times they are longer- a week, a month, maybe even a year. But I think taking a time out can be healthy.

Since losing my job, I have been pushing myself so hard to complete projects so that I didn’t have to think about what happened, so that I had a different focus. But I’ve also exhausted myself. And the problems come back as soon as I turn out the lights at night. So I think it’s time I took a time out from pushing so hard to get things done, and just be for a little while.

All of this is to say that I will be taking a break for a few days (maybe longer).
