Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Every week, Jana assigns a topic and creates a post for everyone to link to.

This week’s topic is: Titles or Covers Featuring Animals. I decided right away to do titles instead of covers, but played around with how I wanted to put my list together. I thought about doing more than 10 and breaking things down by mammals, reptiles, birds & sea life, but I didn’t have enough of some of the categories to make it work. Then I thought just doing one category, but that would not have given me enough to get all ten without repeating an animal. Next I considered just going with one animal (I could have done a huge list of wolf/wolves titles). Ultimately, I just ended up going with a mix of 10 of my favorite animal related titles on my TBR.
