Top Ten Tuesday~ Defying Expectations
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Every week, Jana assigns a topic and creates a post for everyone to link to.
This week’s topic is: Books That Defied My Expectations. These are all books that I expected to enjoy (because I try to choose books I think I’ll enjoy), but turned out to be far better than I ever expected. These are also first books I read by authors that have become favorites of mine
Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandyha Menon
The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
All covers link to Goodreads
The Martian was so good!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I have read several of your list, but none of them where favorites.

I absolutely loved The Martian, and I need to read more of Weir’s books.
Long Way To A Small Angry Planet, and Red White & Royal Blue are both on my TBR, hopefully I’ll get to them soon!
I loved The Rosie Project! My TTT
THE ROSIE PROJECT is such a fun book! It made me laugh out loud – in public 🙂
Happy TTT!

I loved The Rosie Project, but I feel like the rest of the series wasn’t needed.

Ready Player 1 was way better than I expected as well. I’ve also enjoyed a few others on your list.
