Top Ten Tuesday~ Narrators
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Every week, Jana assigns a topic and creates a post for everyone to link to.
This week’s topic is: Favorite Audiobook Narrators. Ok, I have a confession… I love audiobooks, but I do not pay attention to who the narrators are! I tend to get absorbed in the story and don’t necessarily focus on the narrator’s voice. The first four people on this list are ones that I remembered and loved the narrator for. The rest I had to do a little investigating and go back to see who narrated some of my favorite audiobooks.
Wil Wheaton
Ready Player One
Brene Brown
Braving the Wilderness
Steve West
Strange the Dreamer
Amy McFadden
Life and Other Near Death Experiences
Erin Spencer
Trul1f3
Sunil Malhotra
When Breath Becomes Air
Ramon de Ocampo
If This Gets Out
I didn’t know Wil Wheaton narrated audiobooks!

He did both Ready Player One and Ready Player Two.
Good work going and finding them all. Audio books are such a rich experience.
I get what you’re saying. Most of the narrators I’ve listened to are good in that their voices are smooth enough that they kind of fade into the background and let the story take center stage. The ones I remember are the exceptional ones that bring something unique to the table.
Happy TTT!

I do get what you mean, I don’t always remember who the narrator was unless their voice particularly stood out and I wanted to find more from them! I’ve not listened to any of these, but I’ve heard so many great things about Will Patton and The Raven Cycle.
