Unboxing~ The Bookworm Box~ May 2021
In the past, I’ve always watched people do these great unboxing posts and videos of their subscription boxes, and I’ve always wanted to do that. Both be in a position to get monthly subscription boxes, and to share the unboxings each month.
When selecting which boxes to subscribe to, it was important to me to find things that a) were things that I loved, and b) fit with my goals and values. I’m happy to say that the boxes I have chosen do just that.
In this post I’m sharing the only book box that I currently receive (I’m on the waitlist for Owl Crate, but who knows how long that will take), The Bookworm Box. I get the Young Adult version, though they also offer an Adult version of the box. The box is put together by Colleen Hoover and company. While this box isn’t going to give you a lot of the glam and big name titles with special editions, they do donate ALL profits to different charities each month, so that made it the perfect box for me. Plus I get introduced to some lesser known authors each month.
Each box comes with a book, bookmark, coordinated candle, pen, a specialty item, and assorted swag which is usually bookmarks and/or stickers from previous releases by featured authors.
Without further ado, here is what was included in May’s box.
This month’s bookmark (the one with the glasses) and a swag bookmark that I liked and decided to add to my collection
I love the scent of this month’s candle. It’s super subtle and yummy smelling!
How cute is this adorable mug planting kit? It’s so cute! I haven’t planted the blossoms yet, but I hope to do so soon. I’m not usually successful with things like this, but hoping this time will turn out better.
And finally this month’s book, Fate & Fortune by Robin Daniels.
Bryce has liked Paige since they were little, but he never had the guts to act on his feelings. Paige is devastated over being dumped by her long-time boyfriend and can’t seem to move on. When the school’s resident mean girl calls Paige out on a phony claim to having a new man, Bryce steps in for the rescue. A fake relationship is the perfect opportunity for Bryce to show Paige how he really feels. And Paige is hoping her new “boyfriend” will make her ex insanely jealous. She’s always known Bryce is cute, sweet and charming. What she didn’t expect was to develop real feelings for him.
Even with perfectly romantic conditions, Paige and Bryce are still nervous and holding back. That’s when fate sends an unlikely source to nudge them in the right direction. With a bit of good fortune and some serious prodding, Bryce and Paige just may get their happily ever after.
Each month I’ll be sharing what arrives in my Bookworm box, as well as my other subscription boxes (The Sisterhood Box, The CatLadyBox and Nadine West).
