Weekly Wrap Up~ 1/11-1/17/26

After doing monthly wrap-ups in 2025, I decided to go back to weekly wrap-ups for 2026. I’ll be linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer.
Life
This week included 2 doctor’s appointments for mom and a visit from my aunt and uncle. They are hoping to coordinate a time soon for my mom to come visit them for a week or so, but they have to plan it around her appointments and their own, so we’ll have to wait and see when that can actually happen.
Other than that, I am mostly hiding in books and dissociating from everything that is going on around us. I fear what’s coming because I don’t think anyone is prepared for it. But life will never go back to the way it was before, too much has happened. And things are going to get worse before they get better. But we have to keep going, otherwise we let them win.

Hope you have a great week!
I’m sorry your mum is unwell. I don’t know your situation but when my mum was in hospice I spent a lot of time playing cozy video games and that helped to relax me sometimes.
How are you finding A Million Suns? I really enjoyed the Across the Universe series.
I’m sorry for what you are experiencing, I too fear it will get a lot worse, not just for the US but for everyone.
Wishing you comfort in reading this week
