Last Minute Business Travel
A last minute training opportunity came open for me with work, which required me to head up to the Portland area for a week. While this trip was work related, it was nice to have a little bonus trip added to my schedule this year.
I only had about a week to put everything together, but my team did an amazing job staying on top of everything while I was gone. I wasn’t able to respond to emails or messages during training, but I did work for a bit from my hotel room each night. I am so incredibly proud of the team that I’ve put together.
The training itself was pretty intense, but it’s a training that I’ve been wanting to take. I still have some more things I need to complete before becoming fully certified, but I am excited for the next steps and can’t wait until I can start teaching this curriculum on my own.
As for the trip, I didn’t see a lot of Tigard, where the training took place, but like most of Oregon, it has it beauty. It rained the entire time I was there, though I had mostly clear skies on the drive home, so that was good. I ate a lot of fast food in my hotel room, which only reminded me why I rarely eat fast food these days. And aside from locking my keys in the car the night I arrived, everything went smoothly.
Now I’m more excited about the various mini work trips I have coming up.
