Winter Workouts~ Too Cold Outside
This year I’m trying to be a bit healthier. I am eating healthier options and trying to eat smaller portions. I’m drinking more water. And I’m trying to get more movement in.
Now normally walking is my go to workout. But with the cold, wet weather we’re having this winter, outside walking is the last place I want to be. I’m trying to find alternatives that I can do indoors (especially since the goal added from my 52 Small Steps project is movement).
I made a goal at the start of the week to walk for 10 minutes, figuring I could at least walk up and down the hall at work or home for 10 minutes. Sadly, I have yet to meet that goal. I get so caught up in everything else I need to do, that walking just sort of falls by the wayside and then it’s bed time.
I thought about joining the gym. But it is not conveniently located and I know that will pretty much keep me from going on a regular basis.
I do have a set of pedals under my desk at work, I should probably start using them on a regular basis.
One thing I have been successful at, however, is adding a little bit of strength & flexibility work 4 days per week. It’s only a 10 minute workout for now, but it’s better than nothing.
What are some workouts that you do when it’s too cold and wet outside?
