Do you know about the giveaways on Goodreads? Have you ever entered any? Have you ever won?

It took me several years to find the giveaways when I joined Goodreads back in 2011, but once I found them in 2017, I have regularly entered tons of giveaways… and I’ve won quite a few.

I currently have a routine where I go through all of the newest giveaways every Saturday. I use the “recent” tab and go back 7 days to make sure that I see anything that was added since my last round of entries. Some weeks there will be giveaways for a bunch of books I’m interested in; other weeks there may be just one or two. Of course the odds are pretty slim of me winning most of them (especially the more popular books), I figure I have zero chance of winning if I don’t enter, so I might as well give it a try.

Over time, I have entered approximately 2000 giveaways on Goodreads. I’ve won 21 times. My most recent win was in August 2022, so I think I’m due for another soon… though I did win 5 times last year, so maybe not.
