Weekly Recap~ 9/16/23
This is the post where I recap what I’ve been doing throughout the week and share what I plan to post about next week. I will be linking up Kim @ Caffeinated Reviewer and her weekly Sunday Post feature and Kathryn @ The Book Date for It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?
This week I am also joining Marlene @ Reading Reality for Stacking the Shelves. Due to my current circumstances, this will not be a regular addition at this time, but will pop in when I receive something new.
What Went Down This Week:
Notes from a Life:
This has been a weird and unproductive week. My sister-in-law’s car is in the shop, so she’s been taking my brother to work in the morning on the days she works, and I’ve been picking him up on my way home. His car also broke down this week, so we had to do a lot of juggling with just the one car to get all 3 of us where we needed to be. His car appears to be fixed now, so hopefully it will go back to what we’ve been doing until her car is finally fixed again and we are all driving ourselves.
The heat has picked up again, though not as bad as it was. It’s been in the mid to high 90’s most of the week.
I have been doing pretty much anything other than reading lately. I have been on Threads and Instagram, watching streaming (RWRB, GBBO & other random things). I am slowly getting through my 3rd re-read of RWRB, but I haven’t touched another book at all this week. I did, however, pick up another eARC since Jonny Garza Villa’s newest book is Read Now on Net Galley.
I got my first paycheck this week and was able to reactivate my phone and take care of a few other things. It is very nice to finally have some money coming in again.

Hope the car situation is resolved this coming week. At least you have had one working car, even if it has been a pain to juggle all of that.
I loved November 9! It might have been my first Colleen Hoover book when it was first published if I remember right. Sounds like a busy week. I keep filling up my extra time with games on my phone instead of reading like I used to. I need to stop that. I hope both of us have more productive reading weeks!

It’s great you were able to juggle and hopefully it will be over soon. Yay for a paycheck! Our weather has really cooled down and is just gorgeous now. I hope you get some relief.
