The Battle of the Bookshops
A charming literary-themed novel about a young woman determined to save her great-aunt’s beloved bookshop from extinction by the shiny new competition—which also happens to be run by the handsome son of her family’s rivals. Jules loves her aunt and adores the family’s bookstore. She would do anything for both of them, so when her arch-nemesis opens his own bookstore across the street, Jules is determined to do whatever it takes to keep their bookshop alive. Things get a little complicated though when she ends up falling for her nemesis along the way.

Roman has always been interested in Jules, but the rivalry between their families was a barrier when they were younger, and his new bookshop is even more of a barrier now. Because he knows there are other things in their family histories that will continue to keep them apart.

The animosity between them turns into a friendship, then into more. But the family issues continue to drive them apart until a pair of tragedies threaten everything they have both worked for.

The romance in this book is very quiet, but the connection between Jules and Roman is real. And they are both able to explore what they want out of life and make changes for their futures. They also connect with old friends, and make some new ones along the way.

There are some great side characters and plot lines that I really enjoyed as well.
