As I continue to look at the bright spots over the past year, today’s stop is this little blog of mine. And it is little… last I checked I had 17 followers. But that’s ok, the goal has never been to have tons of followers, but just to send my voice out into the world. Even if just one person likes what I have to say, that’s good enough for me.

So what went well on the blog this year? For one thing, I’m still here! I toyed with closing up shop because the last few years were so hard and my reading had taken such a hit. How could I be a book blogger if I wasn’t even reading? So I took a step back, had some pretty long breaks with no posts, started writing about topics other than books that are pivotal in my life and kept going with less frequent posts. And now that I’m ready to get back to it, I’m so glad I stuck it out.

Another highlight for me, is that my blog inspired a friend of mine to start her own blog! She shares short stories and the drama of her life. I think it’s awesome, but I might be biased. If you’re interested, you can check it out here.

I think that’s really it as far as blog highlights go. I didn’t keep track of any stats this year to look at posts with the most engagement or anything… maybe this year.
