March 2024 Wrap Up
A look back at my month. This post will be linked up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kim @Caffeinated Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Marlene @Reading Reality
Life Update
This month was a little rough. It does have 2 difficult anniversaries, which I’m sure contributed to the shift in my mental health. I had one week where I didn’t read or do anything other than play games, sleep, and stream the first 6 seasons of 9-1-1. My reading took a huge hit because of this. And while I didn’t have any other non-reading days, I did have a few minimal reading days.
My sleep schedule is skewed again, though not as badly as it was last year. Hopefully I’ll be able to shift it back soon, or at least by the time I’m working again. It doesn’t help that my car is the only functioning vehicle right now, and since I’m not working and the rest of the family has conflicting schedules, I have been playing shuttle driver to get everyone to their shifts and appointments, which means less sleep time (and productive time) for me.
I’ve been applying for jobs, but have had no interviews yet. I’ve been given various skills tests and sent a couple of “thanks but no thanks” emails, but everyone else has pretty much just ghosted me. I’ve got enough money to still cover everything through April, then things will get dicey. I’m waiting to find out about unemployment, so hopefully that will come through in the interim while I am still searching.
Other than that, I’ve started doing some crafting again. If some of the pieces turn out nice, I might try to sell them. And I reorganized my pantry and put everything in airtight containers (we’re battling mice currently… one of the curses of living in a rural area). I’m also toying with the idea of publishing some of my poetry. I’m really just trying to keep myself occupied as much as possible.
Oh, and there is an issue with the scheduler on my blog, so scheduled posts aren’t going out and I have to manually send them through. I’m not sure what the issue is yet, but I keep forgetting to release posts at midnight and they’re getting released in the afternoon when I remember. Hopefully I can get that fixed soon (or at least remember sooner to release them).

I’m awestruck at how many books you have on the go at a time – I’m one of those who panic if I’ve got 2 books in progress. Though I do find I don’t get quite so het up if they’re audiobooks for some reason… Glad you also loved The Masked City – it is one of my favourite of the whole Invisible Library series. I hope the coming week is a kinder one – being out of work is rough and it’s also hard when confronting THOSE anniversaries. Take carex
