Review~ The Amalfi Curse

This story is told from 3 POVs over 2 timelines, but it is very clear who is speaking and when at all times. And there is one really big twist that I didn’t expect, as well as a few smaller twists that I saw coming.
Haven is the present day POV. She has come to Positano to dive, map, and photograph shipwrecks for work. But she also plans to hunt for the treasure her father discovered on his last dive. After she is pushed out of her job and betrayed by her mentor, Haven searches on her own with the help of a local and discovers so much more than she was looking for.
Mari and Holmes are the past POVs, detailing the events that led to the curse surrounding the waters of Positano. Mari is a stregha, though she is afraid of the sea after it took both her mother and younger sister. While her initial plan is to leave Positano with Holmes, tragic events force her to risk everything to save the people she loves.
Holmes is a sailor who fell in love with Mari on a trip to Positano. He works for unsavory men and discovers a plot to harm Mari and her friends. The only way to save them may be to sacrifice himself.
Mari and Holmes are both willing to give up everything for the people they love. Haven is determined to honor her father and unravel the truth behind all of the shipwrecks happening off the Amalfi Coast. I loved how their stories intertwined, and what Haven did with her discoveries.
