This was a perfectly nice story with sweet characters, exploring complicated relationships, but it fell kind of flat for me. I wanted it to go deeper into the relationships and the characters, but it seemed to just skim the surface.

The book is part of a series, but does not need to be read with the accompanying books and works as a stand alone.

The story follows Jess and her relationship with her sister Rachel, as well as a budding romance with Nate, the son of a client. It takes place over a 2 week period, but even in the short time frame, things seem to move a little slowly. There is more time spent on the outlying relationships than the 2 main ones.

I liked all of the characters, I liked the storyline, I just think that this wasn’t the right book for me.
