In My Life:
Even though this was a short work week, it was still an exhausting one. We expanded our offices, the other tenants on our floor left, so we took over the entire floor. Now we each have our own office, instead of trying to cram all of us into one small room. In fact, my new office is larger than our old shared office. I am still waiting for some storage furniture to be delivered, as well as our new (legit) printer, so my office is currently in a state of limbo. But I’ll be able to decorate it next week, and the other pieces should be arriving soon. Now we just need to tackle the last office and get it set up.
On Friday, I learned that it was going to be at least another year before I finally complete the journey to menopause. And I was so close to making the year point this time! For most people, perimenopause, the time when your hormones change again before entering menopause, lasts 2-3 years. I’ve already endured about 5 years of erratic hormones and unknown cycles. I have been quite miserable this weekend after making it to the 10 month mark this time around. My previous stretch was 7 months, so maybe this will truly be the last one? I certainly hope so.
In addition to all of that, the weather played a part in wiping me out this week as well. We saw our highest temperatures (97, 90) on Tuesday and Wednesday, before things mellowed out later in the week. It was so hot, and I was so tired that I literally did nothing but watch cooking and home improvement shows on Discovery+. I barely read at all this week. And I have an amazing TBR this month, so next week I really need to focus on getting back on track.
Oh, and one more thing, we replaced the starter in the car and it is good to go again (no pun intended).
On the Blog:
I finally started working on some pages- Privacy Policy, About Me, etc. It only took 2 months, haha.

Books I’ve Read:
I finished nothing this week. In fact, I barely read at all!
Links I’ve Loved:
I didn’t do a lot of blog hopping this week either… I did a lot of sleeping mostly, when I wasn’t working.

I commiserate truly. I’m about 18 months into the transition and was ‘surprised’ today.. barely 2 weeks after the end of my last one, while I have a shocking cough – and we all know what that combination is like.
Glad you got the car fixed.
Wishing you a great reading week
Ugh, I’m glad mine are few and far between, but I hate when I have to start counting over again… I just want to be done!
That is hot. It’s been warm here too the last few days although not that bad. Summer feels like it’s definitely here though…
Good luck with all the office remodeling.
The office remodel is going well. And we had a heat wave that broke with a big storm and now have a heat wave again, lol. We’re expecting triple digit temps this weekend.
