What’s Coming in June 2021

When I was planning out the types of posts I wanted to include in my new space, I toyed with the idea of a monthly wrap-up, as is tradition with many bloggers. I’ve done it myself in the past. But, since I decided to do weekly wrap-ups, and they’re pretty thorough, I thought a monthly wrap up would be redundant. So I decided to do a little twist on the classic and share what’s coming up on the blog in the next month.

Books

June is Pride month, so I decided that it will be my first themed month of the year. I’ll be posting my full TBR in my Diversity Spotlight later this week, so I’ll just say here that I plan to only read LGBTQIA+ books in June.

Posts

My posting schedule is written for June. Here are a few things to expect:

Giveaway– I actually didn’t plan one, but might add a Pride themed one later in the month

Unboxing– All 4 unboxings will appear again. This feature may be changing or going away after this month as I may need to tighten my budget and buy a car.

Diversity Spotlight– There will be three this month- my Pride TBR, the LGBTQIA+ books that impacted my life, and POC LGBTQIA+ Authors to checkout

Discussions– Topics include where I stand on the current bookish hot takes, seasonal reading, and a look at the plans for my birthday next month.

Charity Spotlight– The Trevor Project will be featured this month.

ReviewsUnforgotten, Knit, Purl, A Baby and a Girl, Perfect on Paper

Plus you’ll still see Top Ten Tuesday, Stacking the Shelves & The Sunday Post each week.

Life

We are expanding our offices at work, so I will be focused on getting everything set up (and decorated) in my new office. I’ll also be helping with the set up for the 2 offices that are still waiting for their people to be hired/promoted.

In my personal life, I should finally be getting my first vaccine shot this month. And because all of my medical benefits kick in, I will also be making an eye appointment because I am pretty certain my prescription has changed.

And I’ve got to figure out my car situation, which is probably going to necessitate me buying another car, which means I’ll have to eliminate all of my fun budget items and some of my giving ones. That or finding a way to get my car to a shop without paying a fortune because the person who said they would fix it, has changed their mind and I have to get to work.
