Updating My Shelves
At the start of my sabbatical, for lack of a better term, I reorganized my bookshelves to accommodate the new bookshelf I brought home from my office. I separated my Young Adult and Adult fiction books and pulled all of my 100 books to the front so they would be easy to grab.
Now, in doing the audit of my shelves to make sure my Goodreads shelves are accurate to my physical and digital shelves, I discovered that I have a lot of split series that need to be grouped together (or put in the correct order). This means that it’s time to update my shelves again!
As I am rearranging things to group the series together, I will also be pulling out the books in my next 100 so that I will easily be able to move into them as I finish up the first 100.
Since I have just under a week before I start work, I’ll probably tackle the shelves this weekend. I always love the way my shelves look after a re-do. Different titles will leap out to me from the shelves. And I usually end up with more room. Of course since I haven’t bought books in 6 months, that’s to be expected this time.
