Weekly Recap~ 8/5/23
This is the post where I recap what I’ve been doing throughout the week and share what I plan to post about next week. I will be linking up Kim @ Caffeinated Reviewer and her weekly Sunday Post feature and Kathryn @ The Book Date for It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?
What Went Down This Week:
Notes from a Life:
I read a lot this week, but didn’t finish a lot. Next week should have a lot of finished books (I hope). I am struggling with several of the books I’m currently reading, but they’re review books, so I need to push through (my personal policy is to not DNF ARCs). Thankfully there are others that I am enjoying, so I’m getting through them faster. And I’m hoping that I won’t have a reading break this month, so that I can stay on pace and knock out a bunch of books.
Mom had an appointment with her primary care doctor and she’s being referred to a kidney specialist, no idea when that appointment will be. I think this will be the 7th doctor involved in her care (PCP, cardiologist, oncologist, radiologist, ophthalmologist and podiatrist currently). Maybe more, because she also sees a different doctor at the pacemaker clinic. Needless to say some months are full of appointments.
Other than that, nothing has really changed. I spend my days reading, blogging, reading blogs, applying for jobs, and creating projects for myself. I’m running out of projects though, so it might be time to reorganize the bookshelves again soon. Or start a workout program. Or something else.

I am sorry to hear you’re struggling with some of your books, hopefully you can finish them next week. And luckily you’re reading some good books as well. I am not a fan of those months that are so filled with appointments, I hope yours go well. Have a great week!
It’s an admirable goal to finish ARCS – I think the same, but there have been a couple over the years that I just had to give up on. Hope you manage to find something interesting in them to keep you going.
Have a terrific week.
