Review~ Lonely Hearts Day

This is a pretty quick read/listen that focuses on Valentine’s day over 4 years.
Scarlett is anti-Valentine’s Day. Not that she’s against love, she just thinks that singlehood needs to be celebrated as well. So she and her best friend Jake decide to throw a party on Valentine’s Day to celebrate singlehood. And it’s a hit. So they do it again.
Scarlett goes through a lot over these four years, a shake up in her family as well as in her relationship with Jack. She discovers feelings that she hopes he returns, but they end up fighting instead.
Everything is shown from Scarlett’s POV, and we only get the snippets around the party each year, but I think Jack was secretly in love with Scarlett all along, but her obsession on single-ness caused some problems and miscommunitications.
The ending is super sweet though, and I think it wraps up the story nicely.
The audio was narrated by Renee Dorian, and I feel like I’ve listened to some other books that she’s narrated before, but none were listed on her website, so I’m not sure. But I liked the narration.
