Focusing on the Positive

Several years ago, around the time I moved to the PNW, I was really focused on finding the positive in everything. I had a vision board full of positivity statements and worked really hard to curb negative self-talk. And it worked, for a while. I was in the best shape of my life, I had some good connections with people, and then I stopped focusing and started backsliding. It happened gradually, then snowballed, until I was right back where I had started.

I haven’t really thought about it for a while, just gone through the motions of my life. But after the past year, I’ve started thinking about positivity again. And making sure to find it in my every day life again. I might need to make a new vision board.

Of course, one of the integral pieces of positivity is gratitude, so one thing I will definitely be doing is focusing on things that I am grateful for. I will try to keep a gratitude journal again for something tangible, but just recognizing the things I have is the main point of things.
