Read Queer All Year

As Pride comes to a close, it’s time to remind everyone to read books by LGBTQIA+ authors year-round and not just during Pride month. This is especially true while books featuring LGBTQIA+ characters are being constantly challenged and banned from school libraries.

Even before I came to terms with my own sexuality, I read a variety of queer books. Now the bulk of my reading includes stories across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum throughout the year. I encourage others to do the same. (And to read diversely, with LGBTQIA+ books by authors of color and disabled authors).

Here are some of the queer books that I hope to read this year.

Alice Rue Evades the Truth by Emily Zipps
Best Woman by Rose Dommu
The Dramatic Life of Jonah Penrose by Robyn Green
Drop Dead Handsome by Matthew Hubbard
Every Step She Takes by Alison Cochrun

The Fall Fix Up by Karmen Lee
