Resetting My Shelves

Usually when I decide to rework my shelves it’s because I’ve gotten a bunch or new books. Or because I’m stagnating a little and need a fresh view of books. I don’t have enough space, so my book are double stacked, so I always have books that are hidden from my view.

This time, however, the need to reset is for a completely different reason. This time, I’ve reset my shelves because I needed to clear a shelf for treats. Yep, I needed a shelf to set up my jars of candy, so that means I’ve readjusted my shelves to make room.

Because I’ve been getting through books fairly quickly, I was able to donate quite a few books recently. And to move some to my completed shelves (which are now also full). So I did have about half of a shelf free just from that. But I also shifted things around a little to make even more room to get a full shelf.

My completed non-fiction books had to move to the non-fiction shelves. And I blurred the lines between my adult and YA books which were previously separated, moving some adult fantasy over to the YA section. It wasn’t a huge overhaul, but it does gives things a fresh new look.

And it lets me display my extensive candy collection. Yes, I have a sweet tooth and usually have a few pieces of candy per day. But I like variety, so having options is good for me. And it gave me a project to work on while I’m searching for work. And it looks pretty.
