It's been seven years since Holly Kennedy's husband died – six since she read his final letter, urging Holly to find the courage to forge a new life. She’s proud of all the ways in which she has grown and evolved. But when a group inspired by Gerry's letters, calling themselves the PS, I Love You Club, approaches Holly asking for help, she finds herself drawn back into a world that she worked so hard…

This story continues Holly’s story from P.S. I Love You and is completely devastating.

I enjoyed the first book, and felt the pain , grief, and joy that Holly experienced after Gerry died. This book picks up a few years later and finds Holly moving on with her life, though Gerry’s presence is still very strong.

The idea of a P.S. I Love Club actually makes a lot of sense to me, as if I knew I was dying, I would want to leave something behind for those I love as well.  I became very invested in the lives of most of the members of the club, especially Ginika, and predicted some of what happened with her.

I liked that Holly’s family is still super close and supportive (and that Ciara and Matthew are living in Ireland and not Australia). I liked that Holly’s friends are still close (though Sharon’s journey was not expected). I don’t know how I feel about Gabriel. His relationship with Holly didn’t sit right with me. I feel like he didn’t really support her and am not sure that I agree with the choices that were made there.

Overall, this story ripped my heart out and had me in tears more than once. It is a beautiful read (and I actually preferred it to the first book).
