And to think she’d been fantasizing about licking powdered sugar off his…

This is the third book in a series, but is easily read as a stand-alone. Characters from the previous books play a role, but the plot line for Jenny and Jared is completely separate.

The story is fast paced and fun, with quirky characters and a lot of heat. The chemistry between Jenny and Jared is believable and works for the story, and the supporting characters, Jenny’s brother and sister-in-law, also mesh well.

I feel the progression of the relationship between Jenny & Jared works well. They both carry insecurities and commitment issues, which color their perceptions of each other’s actions at times. But they are also incredibly sweet together. Jared has hidden depths that are beautiful, but his past makes him fearful of a future. Jenny has always been a bit wild and never had a successful relationship, so doesn’t know if she’s even capable of one.

There were some bumpy parts in the plot line, but all in all, I think this was a truly enjoyable read.
