Readathon

The Next Readathon

It’s that time of year again! The next Dewey’s 24-hour Readathon is coming up next Saturday, April 13th, and I am getting set to spend the full 24 hours reading (or at least as much as I can get).

This time around I’ll be at home, though I love to readathon from a hotel room relaxing all alone with no distractions. Participating at home means lots of distractions and interruptions, but I hope that they will be minimal.

Snack-wise, I don’t need to pick up much since I’ve created my candy & snack shelves. I’ll be hitting the grocery store on Friday to pick up the fresh, healthy snacks. But I’ll again be enjoying a mix of healthy and less healthy treats, from candy and cookies to fruits and veggies, with nuts and crackers thrown in as well. I’ll have soda for caffeine hits, plus lots of water and some juice to help on the hydration front.

I like to work in stretch breaks and dance breaks to keep me going. And I make use of lots of audio book time to relieve eye fatigue. I’ll use the audio time to multi-task and complete computer work or crafting and meal prep.

My TBR will probably change as I complete books during the week, so I’ll wait to post it until the day of the event.

Sign ups aren’t necessary, but you can check out the Goodreads or Facebook groups for the readathon if you would like to participate.
