In My Life:
Well, this week was not the greatest. Or, at least Tuesday pretty much sucked. I found out mid-day that I did not get the promotion, then when I stopped at the post office on the way home, my car wouldn’t start. I got to sit there for about an hour while I waited for the tow truck, then paid $105 for it to be towed 1 mile to my house. I haven’t been able to get into the office all week, so worked from home on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, because there are no car services in the area, no public transportation comes within 5 miles, and a cab is approximately $70 one-way. So yeah, there’s that. As of this writing (Saturday afternoon), the car is still not fixed, but I have to get into the office Tuesday, so I’ll just have to pay it… or get dropped off at 5am with no way home.
On a more positive note, it is a holiday weekend, so I have 3 days off. And we are expanding into our own offices this week. And I have an incredibly packed week at work.

Wow, that sucks about the car problems. It’s cool that you could work from home, though. I can’t do my job from home, so I’d have to spend my whole paycheck on rides to work. I hope this week is better for you!
Yeah, I’m very grateful that my employer is flexible with me, but there are some things that I can’t do at home and this coming week will need to find a way to get into the office if my car isn’t done.
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Some weeks are just… ugh. And car troubles. We had those recently ourselves. I hope you have a nice holiday weekend though and get to have some fun to make up for it!
Be well this week!
Yeah, it’s like to universe likes to give you a bunch of stuff all at once, then the rest of the time things are great.
Oh man…what a sh*tty week!!!! I’m so very sorry and hope something extra good and exciting comes your way soon.
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Yikes, that is a bad one. I hope your next week would be better.
Thank you! And yes, things definitely got better!
I’m sorry about the missed promotion and the broken down car. I hope you can find a solution to get you to the office- maybe maybe a cab to public transport? Or if your neighbourhood has an online message board you might find someone heading in the direction you need to go who will be willing to share a ride.
I hope you can enjoy your long weekend despite the dramas
Thank you so much! I didn’t realize how far behind I was on comments until just now. So much has changed since this post!
