Unboxing~ April Nadine West

In the past, I’ve always watched people do these great unboxing posts and videos of their subscription boxes, and I’ve always wanted to do that. Both be in a position to get monthly subscription boxes, and to share the unboxings each month.

When selecting which boxes to subscribe to, it was important to me to find things that a) were things that I loved, and b) fit with my goals and values. I’m happy to say that the boxes I have chosen do just that.

This month, I decided to start sharing the clothing and accessory options that I’ve received in my Nadine West package each month. Nadine West is a subscription clothing service, where stylists select and send you a selection of outfits and accessories each month. There are other services out there who do this as well, such as Stitch Fix, but I find the prices to be more reasonable through Nadine West. I also find the quality of clothing to be very good.

Nadine West is a small, woman-owned business, and promotes the environment through minimal packaging and using a reusable shipping bag, so that you receive and return your selections in the same bag. There are no styling fees, but a shipping charge of $9.78 is charged when your package ships. If you choose to keep anything in the package, the shipping price is deducted from the product total. If you don’t keep anything, you simply pay the shipping.

Please note, I am not a great photographer, so the pictures do not do justice to these clothes. I will work on trying to find a better way to photograph them going forward, while still maintaining my anonymity.

To start, these are the items that I received and didn’t keep in April:

The jewelry: The bracelet was cute, but a little small and the necklace was pretty, but I decided against it because the price point was a little more than I wanted to spend on it.

Accessories: An infinity scarf- again pretty, but I have several scarves and I never wear them. And this mask was just a bit too plain.

The clothes: It’s hard to tell, but the first picture is a dress, and it’s pretty but kind of form-fitting. I love dresses, but I prefer ones that are more flowy. The shirt was awesome, but I have a rather large chest and don’t do well with most button up tops. And finally the pants… they were so far out of my comfort zone they kind of scared me, but I was willing to give them a shot. Unfortunately they didn’t fit.

So that was everything I didn’t keep from April’s package. Now here’s a look at the items I did keep!

Earrings: I thought these earrings were really cute, and they’re super light.

Tank: I love tanks and this one is so pretty and full of fun!

Tee: This is a basic black tee and super versatile. I’ve already worn it to work a couple of times.

Cardigan: I love cardigans and this short-sleeve one is perfect to wear over a tank to the office on warmer days.

Pants: The color looks off in this picture, but these are black pants, super comfy, and yes, I’ve already worn them to work a few times as well.

Leggings: Never in a million years did I think I would own a pair of print leggings, let alone a one with a print this bold. But they fit like a dream and are so fun, I just couldn’t resist (spoiler alert: I got another pair of print leggings in my May package as well)

I’ve given feedback to my stylist every month, and have found that my selections are getting better and better. My May shipment that I’ll be sharing next month was my best yet.

If you would like to try out Nadine West, they do have a referral program. Just click this link to sign up I will receive $10 towards my next shipment at no additional cost to you.

Each month I’ll be sharing what arrives in my Nadine West package, as well as my other subscription boxes (The Bookworm Box,  The Sisterhood Box and CatLady Box).
