Weekly Wrap-Up~ 3/29-4/4/26

After doing monthly wrap-ups in 2025, I decided to go back to weekly wrap-ups for 2026. I’ll be linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer, and Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz. I’ll also be linking up with Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality, and with It’s Monday, What Are Your Reading? hosted by The Book Date.

Life
I ad a bit of a rough week, lots of vision issues and headaches. And I was not in a great headspace at all. Mom’s health is starting to deteriorate, it’s been about 7 months since she got her 1-2 year prognosis. She’s still ok, but has gotten a lot weaker and our weekly grocery trips are harder and harder for her. And I’m just questioning what comes next. Plus everything in the world (or at least this country) is getting worse and worse. There are days I just really want off this ride. So with all of that, reading was pretty much non-existent this week. But I did watch 2 seasons of a Korean physical competition on Netflix because I am strangely fascinated by their strength and capabilities. Of course I love shows like American Ninja Warrior too.

I have a ton of books with bookshop in the title, but I don’t have this one. I like Poppy Alexander books.
Sending all the best wishes to you guys, I can’t even imagine the situation you’re in ♥
I’ve got Not Here to Be Liked on my TBR so I’m looking for your review of it 🥰
You’re reading five books at once? very impressive. i’d never be able to keep them all straight.
I’m sorry you’ve had a particularly difficult week, it’s important to take care of yourself as well as your mother. Maybe click and collect or delivery would be a good option, at least for the bulk of your shopping.
Wishing you a better week
My dad’s wife, almost 97, just came home after she broke her hip. My dad, 99, will be caring for her. I’m feeling exhausted for them and all of us.
You are reading some good books!
If you find a way to get off the ride, please share with us. I’ve grown sick to my stomach from all the spinning.
Sounds like you were in my club and many others who had a bad week last week. Glad you at least had some time to read. I hope the vision issues and headaches get better and I’m sorry to hear about your mom. My parents are both having issues at 82 and some days it’s so hard. I come home from helping them and just cry
Did you watch Physical: 100? I liked that show. I hope this week is better for you!
Yes, it was Physical: 100!
It is easy to get disheartened by every thing that is going on in the world.
Hope you have a better week this week
