Celebrate 55!~ Self- Love Recap

Today it’s all about Heated Rivalry, but let’s look at how my Self-Love day went.

The first thing on my Self-Love day agenda was to let myself sleep as much as I needed. And after a terrible night’s sleep on Thursday, then the readathon Friday/Saturday, I was tired! So I slept in pretty late.

Once I finally woke up, I started my day with yogurt and granola, then began my focus for the day. I wrote myself a separate card with encouragement and reminders to celebrate myself for each month for the next year. I also wrote cards for each day this week.

My secondary focus was to come up with ways to celebrate myself throughout the year and to create a bucket list and a plan for the next year.

The bucket list came together fairly easily. I already had a Bucket List Bingo created with mostly local things on it, so I really only had to come up with some bigger things. But I’ve had those big things on my mind forever (like visiting Paris and Italy).

And I had already started planning next year, mainly focusing on getting healthy. I haven’t been taking care of myself for a while now, but I need to if I hope to have a future. But I want to have a future now.

As far as ways to celebrate myself throughout the year, I have a plan. There are a few pieces on my wish list that will facilitate this plan, but if I don’t get them, I’ll figure out a way to do it without them. I want to set up 2 jars, one with words of encouragement and things that I do well. I will pull a card from this jar whenever I need a pick me up and reminder that I am worth it and deserve good things. The second jar will be set up with accomplishments and good memories that I make throughout the next year that I can look back on for my birthday next year.
