It’s Time to Start Doing

Over the past week, I have been slowly digging myself out of my hole and joining in on life again. Since my birthday, I have been tracking a lot of my day to day and my thoughts on my “It Begins at 53” page. It is a very intimate and revealing look at my life down to the minutiae of what I’m eating and when I’m sleeping. I want to continue to keep this record throughout the year.

At the moment, I am putting together my plans for August, preparing for the upcoming Dewey’s readathon this weekend, and working on finding some alternate income sources. I also planning on launching some social media strategies over the next couple of weeks to try to make more connections and find new readers/friends. I think there will be a lot of trial and error until I find something that really works for me, but I’m willing to give it a try.

Also on my radar is getting more involved in some of the causes I support and, surprisingly, the upcoming election. I can’t donate money to the campaign since I’m still unemployed and my bank account is almost $0, but I am looking for other ways I can get involved. I wanted to sign up to send postcards, but they are overwhelmed with sign-ups right now, so I am looking for other options.

I’m feeling really good at the moment, and am hoping that will continue for a while. I have a lot I want to accomplish and time is slipping away, so it’s time to get out there and start doing.
