After doing monthly wrap-ups in 2025, I decided to go back to weekly wrap-ups for 2026. I’ll be linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer.

Life

I don’t really have much to say life-wise this week.

I finally got access to be able to watch the Heated Rivalry series, and I just got the first book in the series from the library to start reading, so I’m caught up on that fandom.

I’m still angry about the state of our country (and starting to see more of an ICE presence closer to my area of Oregon).

And my comfort show is changing (Great British Bake Off) because one of the judges has stepped down and I’m not excited about her replacement, so that is causing an itch in the back of my brain, as well.

Add to that, mom is starting to show a new symptom that is similar to something my dad started experiencing about 6 months before he died, so there’s that. (We are about 5 months into the 1-2 year prognosis that is an ever-ticking clock in my head).

So, yeah, it’s all a little bit too much. But at least my inability to function as a normal human, and instead rot in my nest filled with books all day, means I’ve finished 27 books in January.
