A Plan for the Year Ahead

I mentioned last week that I didn’t make one of my elaborate plans for the next year of my life on my birthday this year. But I did make some selfcare plans that I will hopefully be able to keep this time around. Especially since many of the selfcare steps are things that I know help to control and balance my depression and anxiety.

And that is what this next year in my life is going to be all about…selfcare and getting myself back in balance as far as my mental health is concerned. Having been shattered so completely with everything that happened at the end of February, I’ve come to realize that I’m not as strong as I had come to believe. I need to rebuild the strength that helped me survive before.

For the past several years, I have been very focused on giving to others. This year I’ll be focusing on myself, so that next year I will have something to give again.
