Currently Reinventing… 4.9.21

I’ve seen a variety of different takes on “Currently…” posts around the blogosphere, both in the book blogging community and the healthy living community where I also lived once upon a time. I honestly don’t know who started it, but I’ve always thought it looked like fun, so here’s my take.

Currently Reading:

Remember Me? Buddhism for Beginners Lucky in Love Blood Magick (The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, #3) Forgiven (Forgiven, #1)

Remember Me? Buddhism for Beginners Lucky in Love Blood Magick Forgiven

Currently Watching:

The Masked Singer

I’m not a huge television watcher and can take or leave most shows, but I really got into The Masked Singer in Season 3 and I never miss an episode now. I have not picked a favorite yet this season. But I did correctly guess the identity of the Snail in the first episode. And mom correctly guessed the Phoenix in episode 2. But neither of us had any idea on the Racoon in episode 3. We are liking the wild cards though!

Currently Listening:

Anything and everything Taylor Swift, though mostly focused on Folklore and Evermore

Currently Planning:

My posting schedule and content calendar for this fresh-faced blog space. April is currently planned and in the process of being written. I’ll be putting together my May calendar fairly soon.

Currently Making:

Photo sets ups for #bookstagram, so I can get a bunch of shots in at a time and have stuff ready to post. My old account was very sporadic and my tight quarters can make it awkward to have a photo station set up for a long period of time, so grabbing time on the weekends and evenings to stockpile some photos is making it so I have something fresh to post every day.

Currently Shopping:

My stimulus check went to a new laptop to replace my incredibly out of date desktop. And I must say creating blog posts goes much easier on a system that can support multiple tabs being open and doesn’t take 6 months to open a new page.

I’m also on the lookout for new clothes. It’s been a while since I’ve updated my wardrobe and I’ve spent most of the past year in sweats or leggings, so an update is definitely needed. I’ve been trying a new service called Nadine West, which sends you one outfit with accessories every 2-4 weeks (your choice). You can choose what you need, send back the rest and only pay for what you keep. It’s similar to Stitchfix, but more moderately priced and focuses on one complete look per shipment rather than just a bunch of random pieces. I loved my first shipment and will be sharing my second one soon! Here’s my referral link is you want to try it out.

Currently Dreaming:

About vacation in July. I’m not sure my dream trip for my 50th birthday will come to pass. But if I can’t make it to Boonsboro, I’m definitely going to plan for a couple days away a little closer to home… like maybe the Oregon coast, though a lot of places are already booked for the summer. I just really want a quiet weekend on my own surrounded by books that’s preferably not too expensive. I need to recharge my batteries after not having more than a few hours of alone time over the past year.
